11 Planters

.

*

1

№1 → LEGO® pots.

*

*

2

№2 → Simple origami turns an election poster into a large flower pot.

*

3

№3 → Get your inspiration from Enzo Mari“ecolo”.

#PlantsWillSaveUs

Plants capture carbon. Plants provide food. Plants grow building materials. Plants make (most of) us happy. Plants clean the air. Plants provide shelter.

*

4

№4 → Old wooden beams, boards from fruit crates, old nails; circular saw drill.

*

*

5

№5 → Packaging plastic sewn together, screwed together and pinned together with wooden sticks

*

*

6

№6 → One way mesh baskets from the fruit store. Cut and screwed together.

*

#UrbanFoodProduction

Sustainable resilient cities produce some of their own food. But production on very small areas can quickly become material-intensive. Aluminium, steel, glass & plastic change the climate and consume the planet. The ratio of CO2 emissions to calories produced can quickly overgrow that of industrial farms outside the city.  We need to make gardening equipment with materials we already have.

*

*

8

№8 → The porthole of a washing machine, drainage drilled in. Feet are screwed into the old socket, a shelf is created.

*

*

7

№7 → Metal cans. Bottom cut open and bent up as feet. The lid with a hole becomes the new bottom.

*

*

9

№9 → Old books or boards and jars. To hang on the wall. For outside with hole in the glass or with stones as drainage.

*

*

#LebensMittelPunkte

LebensMittelPunkte (FoodHubs) are initiatives all over Berlin that promote healthy and sustainable nutrition for the people of Berlin and work as agents for sustainable collaborative food production close to the city. Mifactori is the LebensMittelPunkt Reinickendorf.

*

10

№10 → Old CD drives, wooden sticks and a flying bottle.

*

*

11

№11 → A sawed vacuum cleaner pipe.
