Europe Is Cool

These euro-boxes are cool! They are a well defined european standard. Different manufacturers produce them in different colors and materials but all boxes fit on to each other; they all contribute to one large working system. These boxes are often made to be 100% recyclable. And when they have “broken”/”net like” walls you can combine them with all kinds of fasteners easily. So naturally people already have discovered them as a universal building block for more than just storge and transport. Conferences use them as walls or speaker’s desks, activism projects as seating, exhibitions as pedestals, tiny homes as shelving… a true multi-use part! Perfect for Trikka. So we combined them with a bunch of other Trikka parts and put together some builds as a contriubution to the Trikka project.

The euro box standard

Btw. The inspiration to add this box as a part to Trikka came from watching the intro sequence of the animated spiderman film “into the spiderverse” (2018). Watch the background:

  • Measures: ~40mm (wheel ~25), M6 thread 15mm long
