Design info
- This is only a headphone frame. The frame is designed so that standard commercially available speakers with a diameter of 40 mm can be inserted into it and then soldered with a cable. Soft material (some cardboard or foam) should be inserted behind the speakers to anchor them firmly in the frame and also improve the sound quality.
- The cushions in the pictures are standard cushions that can be ordered in this size. For a final product version of the headphones, you could offer your own, slightly softer and perhaps coloured versions within Ikego’s tolerance.
- According to the Ikego catalogue, the outer wire is 2 mm thick. In all of our prototypes, it was so strong that it could be bent, but also had enough strength of its own to exert just the right amount of pressure to press the headphone cups onto the ears.
